Countryside Council For Wales
Description: The Government's adviser on sustaining natural beauty, wildlife and the opportunity for outdoor enjoyment in Wales and its inshore waters.

EnCams (Environmental Campaigns)
Description: An environmental charity, which aims to achieve litter free and sustainable environments by working with community groups, local authorities, businesses and other partners.

The Environment Council
Description: An independent UK charity, bringing together people from all sectors of business, non-governmental organisations, government and the community to develop long term solutions to environmental issues.  Provides stakeholder dialogue, membership schemes, grants, publications, events and training.

Environment Agency
Description: The leading public organisation for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales.  Regulates industry, maintains flood defences and water resources, and improves wildlife habitats.  In addition they also monitor the environment, and make the information collected widely available.

Scottish Environment LINK
Description: Formerly known as Scottish Wildlife and Countryside Link is the liaison body for Scotland's voluntary sector environmental organisations.  One in ten Scots is a member of one of LINK's member bodies.  Its aim is to secure a sound future for Scotland's environment.

Natural England
Description: An organisation with the responsibility to conserve and enhance the value and beauty of England’s natural environment and promote access, recreation and public well-being.  Formerly English Nature, the environment activities of the Rural Development Service and the Countryside Agency’s Landscape, Access and Recreation division.

Crowborough Conservation
An independent Sussex community group dedicated to the conservation of Crowborough's natural habitats for the benefit of wildlife and local people.

Pesticide Action Network UK
Description: Working to eliminate the hazards of pesticides, reducing dependence on pesticides and increasing the sustainable and ecological alternatives to chemical pest control.

Phenology
Description: The Woodland Trust, the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, has joined forces with the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, a leading scientific organisation, to monitor and evaluate changes to nature's events in relation to climate change.

Scottish Natural Heritage
Description: Established to promote Scotland's countryside, its care and improvement, its responsible enjoyment, its greater understanding and appreciation, now and for future generations.

Soil-Net
Description: A resource for Key Stages 1-4 providing teachers and students curriculum-based information about soil.

UKBAP - UK Biodiversity Website
Description: The site provides supporting information for the United Kingdom's action for biodiversity.  It provides information on the production and status of actions for species, habitats and Local and national area plans.
